Many historical and artistic sites are within a few hundreds meters (Castel dell'Ovo, Piazza del Plebiscito, Palazzo Reale, Teatro di San Carlo, Biblioteca Nazionale, Maschio Angioino, Galleria Umberto etc.)
Shopping areas (Via Chiaia, Via Toledo) are within walking distance.
With a 30 min walk you can get to the historical center (dozens of churches, museums, Quartieri Spagnoli, Spaccanapoli, San Gregorio Armeno, historical pizzerias etc.)
Of course, several excursions are possible for a week-end (Pompei, Ercolano, Vesuvio, Capri, Sorrento etc.).
